Stephen Colbert '08 Elephonkey Yard Sign

Here is a new product that I am really excited about. It is a Stephen Colbert Yard Sign! We have all been waiting for Cafepress to start offering yard signs and they have done it just in time for the Presidential Election. This is my first Colbert '08 yard sign and I hope you like it.

It's Official. Stephen Colbert is Running for President...

...in South Carolina. Apparently he is going to try to run as a Republican and a Democrat. This should be a fun story to follow. Will this end up actually hurting some of the other Democratic candidates? I could see him stealing a few votes away from people. How Bumper Stickers can save the World

That is kind of a bold title for this post, but I believe there may be some truth to it in principle. I think that bumper stickers draw attention to numerous causes that may normally go under the radar of the average American. Maybe while you are sitting at a stop light you read something that "makes you go, hmmm" like the wise Prophets C&C say. It might be about saving the environment, voting in the next election, or even just a new band that you are not aware of. My personal crusade is about spreading the word about hybrid vehicles while they are still in the infancy. One day hopefully I won't need to talk about hybrids because all cars will be hybrids or all electric or maybe even hydrogen powered. For now, though, we need to make sure the general public knows how satisfied we are with our Priuses (or Pri-i?)or Hybrid Civics or Camrys, etc. So, here are the latest designs that you will hopefully like and maybe even use to spread the word yourself.

I have reached MPG Happiness, but if you are like me you have not reached MPG Perfection. That will be a never ending battle everytime you get behind the wheel searching for that perfect route to get the best MPG you can.



America is definitely Addicted to Oil. I may not have gone cold turkey on all oil consumption, but I do still consider myself in Oil Rehab.



I actually saw something similar to this on a license plate and thought it was perfect for Hybrids.

How to wash your hands with Toilet Water.

This is a quick video showing a modified toilet that allows you to use the water that fills the tank to wash your hands before it enters the tank. The water would be completely clean and it is a way to reuse the water that normally would just wash down the drain.

mpg happiness bumper stickers and t-shirts

I think we have all seen the Kia commercial calling for people to achieve MPG Happiness with their new line of SUV that gets only 21 city/29 highway. I guess that is good for a SUV, but to truly achieve MPG Happiness try a hybrid like the Prius. When I'm getting 53 MPG for my trips to work I can honestly say I have achieved MPG Happiness. I just recently bought a new Toyota Prius http://www.toyota.com/prius/
It is getting me about 50 MPG and saving me around $200 a month in gas money. I can't ask for much more. I did learn a great method to increase gas mileage called Surge and Coast or also known as Pulse and Glide. When I follow these techniques I can get up to 60 or 70 MPG depending on the road.
